The Purple Breakfast Review #7: Waiting (2019)

10.00

Our first issue of PBR (The Purple Breakfast Review) published in 2019 under our new identity, Wordsmith_HQ, Waiting features poetry and fiction from 23 writers from across the UK, USA and Australia.

The pieces published this issue are unified in their pursuit to explore the theme of 'Waiting' in unique and inspiring ways. They transcend the boundaries of form, of genre and of language. They reach across borders and across cultures to the tops of the highest hills to bring us moments of love and of laughter. A mix of realism, sci-fi, fantasy and horror; they do all this while asking challenging questions and reflecting on the significant social and political issues that our modern world is facing today.

Featuring writing from:
Stuart McKenzie, Linda Brady, Rupert Ibbotson, Christina Mylonas, Ute Carson, Jayne Marshall, Allen Ashley, Kristina Gavran, Amy Hartley, Ben White, Isabelle Kenyon, Louiselle Morris, Sarah Hindmarsh, Lynn-Marie Harper, Rachel Gilman, Grainne Daly, Susan Vinson, Emily Harrison, Hayley Sleigh, Barbara Gurney, Clare Stevens and Sarah Standage.
