(Re-)Living History

(Re-)Living history - launch event, 23rd february 2019

In February, we launched Georgie Lorimer’s captivating debut poetry pamphlet, (Re-)Living History, which explores the rich history of our local Leicestershire. Here are some photos from the event, held in the beautiful Donnington Le Heath Manor House - the perfect location for our audience of family, friends, writers, and history enthusiasts!

Sophie started off the evening with an introduction - what a beautiful setting!

Georgie then pleased us with some readings - it’s always riveting to hear poem in the poet’s voice!

The history-buff audience was absorbed in every piece, so full of the region’s rich past and important figures.

Georgie’s background as a music teacher has inspired her poetry, which is always full of movement and rhythm.
